sam's better idea

A few weeks ago, our ward Relief Society had its Super Saturday craft day. I made some cute Christmas countdown blocks while enjoying conversation and a yummy lunch with friends. Meanwhile, back home, Sam and Anna made me this. Enjoy!

sam's idea

I alight ovally. We arrive, cantaloupe in violin. Why? Nigh I sell that cantaloupe.

I was reading some blogs and Sam said, "We should write a blog post where we alternate choosing letters." This was the result.

Sam did panic last minute and suggested we alternate words, but it was too late. Unfortunately, alternating letters isn't quite the stimulating activity writing a story is...

memories of Mitcham

We have a new computer and in a tiny box on the side of the screen is a rotating slideshow of images in our My Pictures folder. When this one came up, I had to smile.

This is my primary class from the Mitcham Ward from my second study abroad in London. It's the entire senior primary. It was definitely a challenging calling. On my first day some of the older girls and boys were continuing an argument that had begun before church started and called each other names I had never even heard before. It was a rocky start, but after a few weeks of lessons involving as many kids as possible at all times and a few choice distributions of Jaffa Cakes and Oh! how I loved those children! Especially the two little girls to my right and the one in the pink sweater in front. They adored me and I couldn't help but adore them right back.

Maybe someday I'll get to go back and learn to love a new group of beautiful children.

fishy

Anna scribbled this picture on the magnadoodle today.

Then she looked at me and signed "fish." I couldn't be prouder.

a breakfast conversation

awesome craft alert

My friend Lizzie just built a toddler bed for her son since his crib is soon to be occupied by baby number 2. They used this tutorial. I can't wait till we'll need to build one. Hooray for resourcefulness!

annas

Our dear, dear friend Anna Jo (who is one of my daughter's Anna namesakes) visited us in August. Baby Anna loved her -of course- and was so excited to have someone willing to lavish all sorts of praise and attention on her. We ate yummy food, played, visited museums, folded laundry, and did dishes all while talking for hours on end which was my favorite part of the visit. We missed her the instant she was gone and still do. We love you, Anna Jo!
