a masterpiece

My first loaf of "artisan" bread. Ain't she a beaut'!?

It was also delicious and moist (but not too dense) with just the right combination of crustiness and chewiness. With a little bit of butter it was heavenly. My life is forever changed.

Wow! I'm impressed. I'm not sure I can do bread. It seems complicated. All that waiting and rising and such! Good job!

From Artisan Bread in 5? We just made our first loaf a bit over a week ago . . . and since then we've made several additional batches. We can't seem to keep a loaf around for more than a day.

Your loaf looks awesome. Much better than mine do. A masterpiece indeed.

Looks scrumptious. That's the 5 minute bread? When my hand heals, I'm definately trying that.
Please post to Stay and eat. Thanks!

Yes Lizzie, it is from the book Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a day, meaning,

Leighanna, I didn't have much waiting or rising and there was zero kneading. I made the dough and it made three loaves and two baguettes over the course of about a week. Awesome.

Here's their website which has several recipes: http://www.artisanbreadinfive.com/
