crafts

My crafty side has been exposing itself lately. Here are some recent results.

Bows for Anna...

...and a place to put them

Christmas countdown blocks (my craft from Super Saturday)

A crib-sized strip quilt (with no purpose at this point...)

No, I didn't make this. My sister-in-law Anna made it for my daughter Anna. Isn't it amazing and adorable and perfect? I love that she used real fabric and buttons on the painted canvas. She's my super-mom super-hero.

Stay tuned for Christmas present crafts....

fall fun

We had a nice October.

We made salt dough and squished it in our fingers

We went to a concert in the park

We visited Ben, Amy, and Belle in San Antonio and built with blocks...

...and roared like tigers...

...and wore ourselves out at the zoo.

We helped Mommy with the dishes...

...in pearls, no less!

We had a little photo shoot at the pumpkin patch.

We played peek-a-boo with Daddy and the mirror (while wearing BOO! pants)

And we finished it all off with a delicious dinner in a pumpkin!

Happy Harvest-time!

buzzy bee

Anna was the cutest little bumble bee for Halloween. I was glad she was so good-natured about being wrapped in tape and having pipe cleaners sticking out of her head all day. On the 29th, we went to our library's infant story time for the last time (since she's now in their toddler class at 18 months!!!) and Anna stuffed her little face with all the pretzels and muffins she could find.

Anna loves this bear at the library. When we get out of the car and she sees the building, she starts shouting, "Bear! Bear! Bear!" She gives him lots of hugs and kisses.

And then on Halloween we went to our ward's trunk-or-treat. Anna was a little nervous about everyone being in strange costumes, but she loved seeing all the decorated cars. She stopped and listened to all the spooky sounds they played and gently touched all the soft spider webs and bugs she could find.

And I had great fun making her costume and going trick-or-treating with her for the first time. Halloween is waaaay better with kids.
